This should be a great weekend to ride. We got some new snow and the weather looks like it is going to be perfect. I was on the trail the other day and there was plenty of snow and it was pretty smooth.
If you have time you can stop in at the Alpenfrost festival downtown Gaylord. It is only 1 block from the trail and it runs from 9 am to 3 pm. Food, games, ice skating and more. Joe
Well the rain melted a lot of snow but it has stopped now. We might be getting 2-12 inches of snow by Friday night and it could be good ridding again by this weekend.
I also take care of the ice rink in downtown Gaylord and it should be ready to skate on by this weekend, so come into town and check it out and the ice tree. You can see the ice tree on the county website at www.otsegocountymi.gov

We did get at least 4 inches last night with some blowing. Before the snow started we had thunder and lightning, don’t see that very often in January. We should get snow everyday this week and the temps are going to stay on the cold side. Joe
There is enough snow to ride again and we should be getting more. It will be warmer (35f) on Saturday then drop to the single digits the next couple of days. Hope the rain stays away this time. Joe
The trail is doing great with all the traffic. After the snow storm the there were hundreds of trees on the trail and the trail maintenance crew got them cleared enough to ride by the next day. Thank you.
We should be getting some new snow over the next couple of days so come on up and enjoy it.

We moved the camera to watch a dove nest in my woodshed. The 2 eggs where laid on the 15th and 16th of May and should hatch in 12-14 days.
We got 6 inches on Wednesday and we should get 12 tonight that will make for a great weekend to ride. Next week we will be in the high 40′s.
We got more snow last night than what was predictded. There is about 2-3 new inches on the trail and it should be a good day to ride. Take advantage of it while you can.
My wife and I went for a short ride to Wolverine and back. Trail was in good shape, only a couple of brown spots. Most of it was 1-2 inches of snow on top of ice and very smooth. Only saw 6 other riders, thought there would be more out on a beautiful sunny day.
We got about 3 inches yesterday and should get 2-4 today/tonight. The trail is rideable but not that great but it should be by tomorrow.
