It’d be interesting if the webcam was able to have a speed readout on the screen…. just for FUN…… …NOT for incriminating reasons mind you…. they wouldn’t be able to read the registration numbers anyway … ;>))

WHAT registration numbers? I remember WAY back in the 1970s you used to have to place around 4 or 5 inch tall numbers and letters on the hood or belly pan. I still remember the 5 on my first sled, a 15hp, 292 Hirth single powering a 1970 Sno-Jet.

Registration numbers – Exactly None required in Michigan now. First machine ..’71 Rupp 440 Magnum, slightly modified for racing when I obtained it. Top speed – the Deputy said I was doing 76 when I passed him on the shoulder

I see someone just had to walk up to the depth gauge and screw it up again. I wouldnt blame Brian if he just painted it over and left the thermometer….

Looks like Gaylord is evacuating … 14 northbound sleds in the last 5 minutes.

Just a clarification question – The cam is pointed south-ish, towards Gaylord?

It used to be that I could double tap on the video and advance or reverse the video 10 seconds, or more, at a time. I no longer can. Has something changed, or do I need a different app, or??? Thank you…..

Milo, my feed is from YouTube. All I have to do to rewind is scroll to the bottom of the video frame and a red slider appears. Click on the red bar or just grab the slider button on the right and drag it to the left to go back in time (or, get yourself a 1985 Delorean .. not sure where to obtain a Flux Capacitor)

Clarification: I view the cam on the sledview.com page which utilizes the YouTube player … or embeds the player on the page.

Snow Report: I live along Lake Huron, approx 15 miles N of Rogers City, 25 miles S of Cheboygan. Today’s trip took me thru Onaway .. Mostly scattered snow on bare fields. Roads wet to dry. from Onaway, N to near the State Park, then west along the southern edge of Black Lake .. same situation .. only places with any significant snow were wind and sun shaded with depths less than 10 inches. North to Cheboygan .. same conditions – a LOT of bare ground. The trails that I crossed were wet, hard-pack ice or bare ground, with zero groomable surface. Cheboygan – Lot of dirty snowbanks and green grass, 40 degrees, clear sky with SSW wind 20-35. Car washes doing Fantastic business (approx 30 minute wait for the “automatic” washers. Cheboygan to home along US-23 … mostly dry pavement with the only mentionable snow in banks where plows had it piled up. Here at the house, at 515PM… 36Deg, about 2 inches snow on driveway where it has not been shoveled, blown or plowed. 1/2 of lawn is bare grass. Wind is W@13-25. YMMV

If anyone has a trail update from trail 7 to Mack city or to Alanson to Harbor Springs is really appreciated. Coming up from SC on the 27th. It doesn’t look the best from cameras after the latest rain. Thanks again!

Here from Maryland. Went out 16th and 17th . Trails were starting to get very thin. Was going to stay until Saturday but heading home Thursday because of rain and warm up. Don’t think it is going to hold up.Ran into a lot of bare spots Tuesday
