No real riding yet. Just enough to run the sleds in the farm field to make sure they work! 🙂

Back up! It has been fairly problematic with our internet lately and every time there is a “hiccup” in the connection, it has to be restarted for Youtube.

I Thank You for the sledview cam, it’s been fun to watch from Tennessee and inspiration to get back into snowmobiling. I hadn’t snowmobiled since I was a teenager and didn’t remember the trails being so nice. We bought a snowmobile and made four trips to the trails, two to Gaylord. We can’t wait for next year and hope people will post group rides to share in the fun. I would also like to thank the snowmobilers who followed the rules so we can help preserve the trail systems that so many people have worked so hard to make happen. The amount of people using the trails and their hospitality says a lot for the love of this winter sport that allow so many to get out and enjoy the outdoors winter wonderland . Let’s help out and give in donations or time to keep the trail systems going for us and future generations. Thanks Again until next season Tom

Switty, we just wanted to thank you for doing this website. Believe it or not you never know when something so simple could change somebody’s life. My sister and I happened upon your website and it inspired us to buy snowmobiles-and we live in Florida. We made it up to Michigan twice this year to use them. You can’t imagine the excitement and anticipation we had all year long waiting for our trips, it really added an excitement to our life, we are now even looking for a camp in the Gaylord area. Though we have not made it to trail 7 yet, when we eventually get there we will stop at the camera and give you a big wave and thank you. Already looking forward to next year. THANK YOU!

Hi. I can’t find a place to leave a comment for myself so thank you I guess it’s Switty. I too enjoy watching the trail cam from here in south Florida 80 here – 20 there BRRR. Being from Michigan I had a few years on my old 1971 sno-jet 338. Was fun but I don’t remember any groomed trails just fire trails.

Thanks Bob! We were just in Florida last week. We left Gaylord at 42 degrees and drove into Florida in the middle of the night at 48! I asked for my money back! Ha! Thankfully it warmed up each day!

That’s a great story. I love to check the weather on this cam, since I live here in Gaylord. I can often tell when school will be cancelled just looking at that wind whipping on your cam.

Switty, thank you for the trail cam. I live in Auburn Alabama ( War Eagle ) and watched the trail cam for 6 weeks till our trip came. We road up trail 7 from Gaylord and went right by your cam. On the way back we stopped and waved to everyone watching. The trails were great the whole time on our trip. What a beautiful town and country side. Can not wait to return next year and ride to the mackinac bridge. Some of our group were scared we would run out of gas on that trip. So we did not try it. But next year we are going to. Great times! Thank you! So glad you had a great trip! If you ride to the bridge, you can then be trailered over and then ride to Mackinac Island! See you next year!

switty on the snow stake where is the actual foot mark ? is it the line above example: 1 foot would be 6″ and the line above would be a full foot or is it 1 foot is a full foot and the line above would be 1 and 1/2 foot ?

The line above the words “one foot” is one foot off the ground. Right now there is about 1- 1 1/2 foot base. Out in the fields it ranges from nothing to 5 foot.

I am thinking about heading up this weekend but I see it is supposed to get 36 degrees on Saturday. Is there enough snow on the trails to sustain through the day on Saturday?
